Trobentica (znanstveno ime Primula vulgaris) je najbolj razširjena predstavnica rodu jegličev v Sloveniji. Poznana je po nagubanih, spodaj dlakavih listih, cvetovi so na kratkih pecljih, različnih barv. Cveti od januarja pa vse do maja.
Je počasi rastoč zimzelen iglavec, ki zraste 3-5 m v višino in se razbohoti 2-3 m v višino. Krošnja je gosta, stožcaste do jajčaste oblike z gostimi iglicami sivo-modre do modro zelene barve. Plodovi so ovalni storži temno vijočočne do temno rjave barve. Zelo primerna je za skalnjake ali predhišni vrt, lahko tudi kot solitarno drevo. Himalajska cedra cepljena na deblo ima bolj enakomerno krošnjo kot grmičasta oblika. Zraste do 80 cm visoko, v širno lahko do cca 1,5 m. Primerna za grobove, gredice, skalnjake.
