Trobentica (znanstveno ime Primula vulgaris) je najbolj razširjena predstavnica rodu jegličev v Sloveniji. Poznana je po nagubanih, spodaj dlakavih listih, cvetovi so na kratkih pecljih, različnih barv. Cveti od januarja pa vse do maja.
Je počasi rastoč zimzelen iglavec, ki zraste 3-5 m v višino in se razbohoti 2-3 m v višino. Krošnja je gosta, stožcaste do jajčaste oblike z gostimi iglicami sivo-modre do modro zelene barve. Plodovi so ovalni storži temno vijočočne do temno rjave barve. Zelo primerna je za skalnjake ali predhišni vrt, lahko tudi kot solitarno drevo. Zimzeleni iglavec s s srebrno modrimi iglicami. Rast je izrazito koničasta, precej simetrična. Zraste približno 6 m visoko in 2 do 3m široko. Primerna je za sončne lege in suha tla.
